since today was so uneventful and was essentially only filled with an audio book on tape (the testament) for summer quote reading unquote, i figured that tonight would be the night to put an entry from my journal from europe in my more favorite diary (you, yes you, diaryland). here you go.

tonight is our last night in venice, and venice has been quite full. last nights gondola ride was probably the highlight of the trip- i dont think that anything can top that.
it was a rough day, yesterday, aside from the gondola. bad mood, achy body, annoying trip companions... i was at the end of my rope at dinner and i broke down and cried. laughed at the same time though, carolyn understood. then after gondolas, caro and i found yet another cyber cafe. i recieved the hardest letter ever from dave, made me cry again. he was online, so i got to hear about the show, which was wonderful. i need to get home to him, though, so badly.
today was a boat trip to a big island in venice, a trip to another island for glass blowing witnessing, and then tonight was unreal. we had this wonderful eggplant parmesian, only to be followed by jay and i getting desperately lost, misunderstanding the meeting time, therefore missing the boat back. so we walked, nervously, aimlessly, blindly. an angel appeared when we resorted to asking someone directions. she was italian, but spoke nearly perfect english. she walked us 45 minutes back to our hotel because she was passing it on her planned route. a night jay and i will likely not forget. mrs bayrd was relieved, and not too mad when we got back... thank god. so it all worked out.
verona and italian lakes tommorow. only two more days.

there ya go. brings me back, really. i wouldnt mind being lost again in venice tonight. wouldnt mind being lost anywhere over there tonight. the breaths come easier, and less painfully hurried than here.
